QuotesDLX Roadmap – Update July of 2022

QuotesDLX has been released to very positive reviews. Currently, I am offering a lifetime deal on AppSumo, so please be sure to check that out.

In response to a question on AppSumo about theme colors, I thought I’d post a public roadmap of current items planned.

Custom theme colors are the next major feature

I’m a big fan of “make it work, then make it pretty.” I have the majority of the interface work for custom colors done. Now it’s marrying the theme colors to dynamic options.

I added a new tab called Theme Colors, but it’s more than likely going to be changed to Theme Options so the user can modify the fonts being used and adjust the text size being used as well.

I have a due date of August 8th for a testable version of this feature.

More roadmap items

More themes

I’ll need to get theme colors working in order to add more themes.

The next “core” theme to be released is called Bubble Gum.

Facebook integration

  1. Create option in admin for Facebook app ID
  2. Add to contextual menu
  3. Integrate with Twitter button area

Custom content in the contextual menu

  1. Add in common actions that can be enabled/disabled in the contextual menu
  2. Ability to add custom items to the contextual menu

Presets/Overrides

Currently, you can only select default options for the quotes. While you can already override these programmatically, it would be helpful to have exportable presets and provide an interface for overrides that make sense on a global scope.

Setting defaults from the “Home” admin screen

I’d like to save some clicks and allow some defaults to be set from the Home tab.
