QuoresDLX 3.0 has been released, and it comes packed with some nice features, such as adding shortcode support.
Let’s go over what’s been added in this release.
Shortcode support (finally)
I’ve mapped most of the block options to a convenient shortcode. This allows you to insert QuotesDLX in the classic editor or with your favorite page builder.
Here’s an example of a shortcode in use:
[quotesdlx enable_contextual_menu="false"]This is the quote I'd like to share[/quotesdlx]
Code language: plaintext (plaintext)
The intuitive admin panel options allow you to set the shortcode defaults. Please check out the shortcode parameters.
Citation support
Version 3.0 adds citations to QuotesDLX. You can enable them per block and shortcode.
Citations are nice when you want to add attribution but don’t want the text to be included in the sharing and copying features.
The citation feature is available for all themes and can be enabled in the block editor settings or in the shortcode.
Full email support has landed
Emails in the contextual editor have been taken out of beta. You’ll find a new tab in the admin panel settings for configuring the email options.
You can set up your CAPTCHA solution using reCAPTCHA 3 and Cloudflare Turnstile.
The email modal only shows the required fields, with the rest being set in the admin options.
This is a large release
With features like shortcodes and citations, QuotesDLX is a great solution for showcasing your favorite quotes and authors. Please check out QuotesDLX today.
