Plugin Info Card 5.2 Introduces Easy Digital Downloads Compatibility

WP Plugin Info Card 5.2 has been released and it’s packed with a brand new Easy Digital Downloads integration.

Let’s go over this new and welcome addition to the plugin.

If you have Easy Digital Downloads already installed, you’ll notice a new admin panel tab in WP Plugin Info Card.

From there, you can enable the EDD integration and set a default banner and icon image (in case a plugin doesn’t have them).

It requires two add-ons:

Software Licensing (Required)
Product Reviews (Recommended, not Required)

From there, you’d edit your download and fill out as much information as possible about the plugin.

Finally, you’d use Plugin Info Card to output the plugin.

Overriding .org plugin slugs

You can use Easy Digital Downloads to override a plugin slug from .org. Just use the same slug to create your download as the .org plugin.
