Pattern Wrangler 2.2 Released With Disable Registered Pattern Shortcut and More

Pattern Wrangler 2.2 has been released with several quality-of-life improvements, including a new shortcut for disabling a registered pattern when copying to a new one. Let’s go over what’s new.

New Shortcut for Disabling Registered Patterns

One new shortcut is that when you copy a registered pattern to a new one, you can disable the old registered pattern. This is a big timesaver, especially if you work with registered and local patterns a lot.

Pagination Now Shows Total Items

One request I received after 2.0 was released was to add the total number of items that can be paginated. The DataViews component doesn’t lend itself well to customization, so adding it was problematic. I finally found a sane place for it, and have added it to the top of the pagination controls.

Modals Can Now Be Skipped

You can now skip all confirmation modals by clicking the “Do Not Show Again” confirmation.

Several Category Bugs Were Fixed

  • Mapped categories weren’t displaying correctly in the Patterns View.
  • Categories are now sorted alphabetically.

What’s Coming For Pattern Wrangler?

In the next version of Pattern Wrangler, I’d like to introduce some local and registered category management.
