Get Mailchimp Subscribers Through Comments With Simple Comment Editing 2.8.0

Simple Comment Editing 2.8.0 has been released with a Mailchimp integration which allows you to gain newsletter subscribers when someone leaves a comment.

Mailchimp is by far the most popular newsletter tool, and I decided to bring the feature from Comment Edit Pro into Simple Comment Editing. For those with comments enabled, this is an opportunity to get newsletter subscribers as users leave comments.

Pro features such as reCAPTCHA 3 and Akismet protection are still part of Comment Edit Pro.

Other 2.8.0 Changes

I added in more prominent documentation and support links, and also added a few upsells to Comment Edit Pro.

Future Plans

There are no current plans for more features for Simple Comment Editing at this time. Some have requested a better text editor, but that is not a priority at the moment.
