GB Extras 2.1.0 Released With Shape Transforms, and Clear Block Styles

GB Extras 2.1.0 is out and it’s packed with several new features and some bug fixes. GB Extras is an add-on to GenerateBlocks.

Convert the Shape block to a link

One common complaint I’ve heard in GenerateBlocks is that it’s not simple to make a Shape block into a link. Now it’s possible with just a few clicks of the context menu.

Convert the Shape block to a Text block

Another feature is the ability to convert a Shape block to a Text block. This shortcut auto-converts the shape to a Text block and pre-positions the icon and the text.

Other Additions

There’s a new Clear Block Styles option in the context menu. This should help with global and local style conflicts.
Unique ID replacement was too greedy and was affecting other blocks. This has been fixed.
Block manifests are now used for block performance.
Blocksy Local Google Fonts now works with GenerateBlocks for typography options.
The new navigation and header blocks have been added internally for targeting purposes.
