Comment Edit Pro 2.3.5 has been released and comes with some bug fixes and introduces Slack integration.
Slack integration
You can now receive Slack notifications when someone leaves a comment. Please see the screenshot below for an example notification.
The notification has:
- A link to the comment
- A link to the post
- Comment details (name, approval status, email address, URL)
- The comment
- Quick buttons that allow you to approve, un-approve, or mark a comment as spam.
You can also receive notifications when someone edits a comment.
All of this can be configured by going to the Integrations tab in the Comment Edit Pro admin and going to the Slack settings.
Frontend editing has been fixed
Frontend editing has been fixed for most users and the dependency on the Bootstrap library has been removed (yay!).
Updated licensing screen
The licensing screen has been updated to show more context as far as details about remaining licenses, license status, and an opt-in to beta releases.
Other notable fixes
- The modal for avatars has been tweaked to minimize horizontal scrolling
- Added quick docs links for various sections
What’s next?
I’d like to integrate Cloudflare Turnstyle into the plugin for a reCAPTCHA alternative. I’d also like to reorganize the admin a bit.
That’s all for now. Thanks for reading.
