Comment Edit Lite is now Comment Edit Core
Let’s begin with some news. Comment Edit Lite is now Comment Edit Core. I’m slowly renaming things, but I felt “lite” meant the plugin was underpowered, which it is not. Core more aligns with what I’m going for as far as value.
Comment Edit Pro is also in the process of being renamed, which I’ll announce at a later date.
WooCommerce reviews are now supported
I received a feature request a while back asking if it was possible to support editing WooCommerce reviews. While it was possible to edit the text of the review, the review rating itself could not be edited.
I investigated what was needed to add this in, and it turned out quite a lot.
I rewrote most of the internal JavaScript and added native JavaScript events so that the ratings could be added logically to the edit interface.
I decided that “free” users should be able to edit reviews, while admins (in the Pro version) can also edit reviews on the frontend.
Unlimited editing for WooCommerce reviews?
With Comment Edit Pro, you can enable unlimited editing for commenters. This feature works for reviews, also.
What’s next for Comment Edit Core, Pro?
As mentioned, I will be renaming the pro version. I’ll post an announcement when I do.
Thanks for reading.
